BREAKING FORTH✊✊!

And it came to pass that his mother's father-in-law is his father.

She was given two of the sons but you know what happened? They both died.

Tamar was given to Er as a wife. But Er did unholy things in the sight of the Lord and was killed, by God.

She was also given to Onan to continue the family lineage but Onan saw it fit to spill his seed unto the ground. He does not want to bear kids for his brother.

This thing he did was displeasing in the sight of God and he was killed too.

And she was promised the youngest son, Shelah.
'Live as a widow in your father's house until my son, Shelah, grows up', she was told and she obeyed.

But the father-in-law failed to keep to his promise.

And the day came when Tamar disguised herself as a prostitute and went in unto her father-in-law, Judah.

It was actually Judah who thought her to be a harlot and went in unto her.

Before she went her way, she made sure he gave his pledge; his signet(the identification seal), bracelets and staff.

And she conceived and was pregnant.
Not knowing that the pregnancy was his, Judah reacted negatively to the news of his daughter-in-law's pregnancy, 'Bring her forth and let her be burnt'!

It came to pass, at the time of her delivery she travailed and brought forth twins.

Do you know the most interesting thing about the twins?
One of the twin was supposed to be the first to come out from the womb and become 'Taiye' as the Yoruba would call him but he pulled back his hand into the womb.

And he was called 'A breakout', Perez!

Perez broke forth and became the first of the twin to come out of the mother's womb.

You see there's no time for pulling back. Once you pull back someone else pushes out and break forth.

How do you as a Christian break forth?

You break forth on your knees. In the secret place.

We run on our knees more than we do with our feet.

Eph.6.12 - For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

With Tamar's story the way it is, it will surprise you to know that her name and her children's name were mentioned among the genealogy of Christ. One insignificant family fha.

They travailed and mercy was shown to them.

What are you wasting resources on; sweat, money, breathe?
Have you travailed? Are you travailing in the secret place?

'The secret to prayer is known in the secret place. Learn it in the secret place'.
