"Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you..."

Young Gbile Akanni, like every other child, was born to a father and a mother. He was from a polygamous family, though.

His father was a full-time priest of the 'Ifa' oracle. He was a very famous and powerful herbalist, who practised divination, in his time.

On the third day of the birth of each child in the family, Ifa priests would gather to discern what the child's destiny would be, with the use of divination, and also dedicating the child to Ifa. That's how committed the father was to the oracles.

When it came to young Gbile's turn for the oracles to determine what his future would be, the oracles gave a shocker๐Ÿ˜…. It could not say what he was meant to be. Or rather, the oracles had no idea how young Gbile's destiny would turn out.

That was how young Gbile was freed to do whatever, with his life (and it's not usually so).

And he went ahead to become a devoted Muslim before he encountered Christ.

LESSONS

1) God knew every single detail about us before we were formed; from the kind of parents, we would be having, to the challenges we would face.

He also gave us the power of choice to choose at every point in time, who we would serve even with the kind of circumstances that surround us.

Do not allow your family, religion, or academics, to stop you from becoming who God wants for you.

2) Don't be deceived.

No one has an inkling of what God has to do with your life. He alone has the manual because He is the Planner and Creator.
