4 PRINCIPLES TO ABIDE BY IN THE COMING DAYS.

Bienvenue, mon ami.

First, I would love for you to read my first post of the year before you go on to read the 4 Principles To Abide By In The Coming Days. It's a short well-packaged 'welcome to 2024' message to you.

Read it here BIENVENUE EN 2024.

1. ACTIONS AND REACTIONS

According to Isaac Newton's third law of motion, to every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. The law applies in all facets of life, either in simple things or in complexities. You could just be brushing your teeth and this law would still hold. You could be walking, and it still holds. The simple things of life show that for every action you exert, there is an equal and opposite reaction.

In the complexities of life; academics, career, business, and relationships, the law holds. The actions you exert will also lead to reactions you might either love or dislike.

It's just like reaction telling action, 'I no go gree for anybody, do one and I will do twice back what you do'.

You read and study hard, Excellence stares at you so hard that you become Excellence itself. You rise, even after falling, and Success refuses to leave you for failure.

The actions you take could fast become habits, and habits are not so easy to break. The very more reason it is encouraged to consciously form habits that will bring you great results.

Habits might be the small changes you make or actions you take daily, but they end up resulting in compound effects. Their ripple effects are always so huge.

You write daily. Just something small right? But, you take it seriously. It's not like you make it public, but you make sure you write like you would write a professional or an official article. The result might not be instantaneous or noticeable, but you will realize how much it has made you grow in times when you would not expect.

You read your Bible daily, even if it is one chapter, not for the compliments, but to be familiar with God's word. Times are coming that this particular action of yours will be tested, and it will be like the reaction telling the action again, 'I'm the Boss here. I'm the one who decides if you're a strong or weak one.'

You see people, and you are very quick to insult or disrespect them, the reaction will also speak.

You show resilience in hard times, the reaction will tell the importance of your resilience.

You need a job. Keep sleeping and don't do anything about it. Don't apply for the applications you see. Keep believing you might not meet the standard. The result will speak, and it'd either make you the happiest human or the saddest.

Whatever you do, think beyond the present; See the assignment and purpose.

I would have said to look beyond the actions to see the great results, but some actions look too insignificant while they are the ones that might lead to great results. So, look at it this way; Form the right habits (one of which is putting God first in everything you do), build around you, healthy structures, and consider the benefits and harm of an assignment.

2. PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS

Marie Lu once said 'Every problem has a solution. But after every solution, there's a new problem to tackle, some new challenge to take on. You don't stop after you solve one thing, You keep going, You find a new way and a new path, try to do better and create better.'

A wise person also said to stop seeing the problem but the solution, whatever it could be.

You might have found yourself in a daunting condition that looked like it would swallow you whole without leaving a trace of your existence on the earth, and you had either done one of these; you sat down, wept and you were full of regrets, or you looked at the daunting condition, laughed hard, and moved on, or you cried, then got back on your feet to finding a way out of the hole you found yourself. Whatever it is, no one says being in this position is easy and you must move on, no. It is a daunting condition for a reason. There is no way you could have fought back in that state you were in. No way! But, you should understand how important it is to get back on your feet to walk the brightened path again. You can only do that if you are not seeing the problem but the solution. Even while weeping, see the solution. Yes, see the solution through your tears.

Don't dwell on the fact that you just broke your only ceramic plate.

Or, you just had a carryover.

Or, you just had your leg broken.

Or, ... Fill in the gap.

None of these are the sweetest states to find oneself in. They really are not.

You failed on a project? It's saddening, but being alive means you've got to see some hope in hopelessness because even in that most difficult state there is a solution, for you can do everything through Christ, who gives you strength (Philippians 4:13).

3. ILL-MANNERISM

You do not have to be involved in every single thing that goes on, on the internet and even around you.

In every Twitter gist, they will find your comment. In every Instagram blog gist, they will find you. In every Facebook gist, you are there. Even TikTok, and YouTube, only you! Dragging celebrities. Dragging influencers! Dragging Taye. Dragging Funmi. Ahahn! This should not be you, please. It should not. You should not be so ill-mannered.

You're a star yourself, and there is enough space for you to shine without being a problem to others. Why would you, a person of high worth be so into other people's lives without a care of learning about yourself?

Or, you thought you were less?

Let your comments (conversations and speech) always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person (Colossians 4:6).

So, if you must make comments, let them be healthy ones. You have opinions too I know, but think about it first before you let it out. It might be destructive, and we wouldn't want you to destroy anyone, right? Right!

4. SITUATIONSHIPS

I was on Medium when I saw an article, 'How to turn situationships to relationships,' I clicked on the Medium post to get the writer's insight. I found myself nodding to what was written.

The writer says you don't turn situationships into relationships, you flee. And, I agree. When talking about friendships, romance, and whatnot, I give my hundred percent agreement, because such ships would make you sink so deep, that you find it so hard to recover. If you can, define your relationships to avoid situationships.

Do you know that you can also experience situationships in your business and academics?

From the business angle, you start a business with your friend or some partner and the partner does not show commitment to the business, you are experiencing a problem/situation.

From the academic angle, you've read a book many times yet if asked any question you would not be able to utter a word. You're not even sure if the questions were taken from the book you just read. That is a situation ship. A problem! Someone reads the same book once and the person knows the in and out of the book already. Problem for you!

And this is not to say that you are dull. Ha ha! Try to be rating yourself sha.

I'm not also going to say you should keep reading until it enters your brain. No! But, I will list out things I would do if I were in the same 'ship' academically:

-I would make use of YouTube, my browser, and make sure I have a visual representation of what I'd been having difficulty understanding.

-I would go to people, ask questions about it, and hear their opinions.

-I would go to people and try to explain the things I'd read in my simple way, even if it meant looking into the book.

-I would come back to my space, read my book line by line, and try to understand it.

-I would read through the book again, but this time saying the words out loud and explaining to myself the course.

-The ones that are still not sticking, will be memorized as long as I now understand the course.

Wheew! I just wrote a full book!

Hehehe. Thank you for reading through. I would love to hear your thoughts on these principles. Are they principle-ing?πŸ˜„ What other things should be added to these four? Let's have your opinions too!
