Bonjour! Welcome to my 12-day blog series, where I will be sharing 24 lessons I've learnt in 2024. I'm excited to dive in and share these insights with you, so do stay through.π |
LESSON NINETEEN
One thing that stands out for me in 2024 is watching an infant grow into a healthy four-month-old baby. I've had the privilege of witnessing this growth from the pregnancy stage to the present day.
Seeing this baby's growth has made me view my own growth differently. I realize that I'm not the same person I was a month ago, two months ago, or even five years ago. Growth is a powerful and continuous process, and it's essential to acknowledge and celebrate it.
We often underestimate the significance of small wins and growth milestones. We might think, "Oh, it's just a small thing," or "It's not a big deal." But the truth is, every step forward, no matter how small, is a reason to celebrate.
On celebrating growth, and wins, let me share two personal wins that might seem insignificant to some, but are significant to me. Firstly, I graduated from university with a whole bachelor's degree. This achievement represents growth, perseverance, and hard work.
Secondly, I reached over 500 followers on Instagram. To some, this might seem like a small milestone, but to me, it represents a significant accomplishment. It means that my content is resonating with people, and that I'm making progress in my online journey.
Celebrating our wins, no matter how small they may seem, is essential to our growth and motivation. It acknowledges that we're making progress, that we're not stagnant, and that we're moving closer to our dreams.
So, let's make a conscious effort to celebrate our growth, our wins, and our progress. Let's acknowledge that every step forward, no matter how small, is a reason to rejoice.
LESSON TWENTY
I learnt that my morning starts whenever I'm ready to wake up. It's not about the time on the clock, but about my personal readiness to tackle the day.
Whether I wake up at 2 PM, 5 PM, or 12 AM, if I declare that moment as my morning, then it is.
It's never too late to get things done. Don't be discouraged by others who may have started their journey earlier. Your timeline is unique, and your morning begins whenever you're ready to start.
I learnt this lesson from listening to various podcasts and connecting with people online. I discovered that different individuals achieve success at different ages and stages. Some may start early, while others may begin later in life.
A great example is a pod I follow. They started their podcast four years ago, but it wasn't until three and a half years later that their blog gained popularity. This taught me that perseverance and patience are key. Don't be discouraged if your efforts aren't yielding immediate results. Keep working towards your goals, and your morning – your moment of breakthrough – will arrive when the time is right.
