Bonjour! Welcome to my 12-day blog series, where I will be sharing 24 lessons I've learnt in 2024. I'm excited to dive in and share these insights with you, so do stay through.π |
LESSON SEVENTEEN
As the year comes to a close, I've been reflecting on the lessons I've learnt. One valuable takeaway is that learning is a continuous process. Every day brings new opportunities to discover, grow, and expand our knowledge.
I've come to realize that learning never ends. Even with all the knowledge we acquire, there's always more to discover. This realization can be both exciting and intimidating. However, it's essential to approach learning with a growth mindset, recognizing that it's okay to not know everything.
Even people who seem to know it all are still learning. Nobody has all the answers, and that's what makes life so fascinating. The pursuit of knowledge should be a lifelong journey, not a source of pressure or anxiety. The fear of not knowing enough should not hold one back from pursuing one's passions or starting something new.
So, I recently just learnt something new that still surprises me today: the Queen of Britain is the only person who can travel the world without a passport.I discovered this fascinating fact from a podcast, and it's a great reminder that there is always more to learn, even the littlest things.
As we close out the year, remember that learning is a lifelong journey. Don't be afraid to ask questions, seek knowledge, and explore new ideas. Keep learning, growing, and pushing beyond your comfort zone.
LESSON EIGHTEEN
This year, I gained valuable insights into the true meaning of friendship. I learnt that genuine friends always have each other's backs, no matter what. They support, encourage, and uplift each other, even in the toughest of times.
Friendship is not about grand gestures or dramatic displays of affection. Sometimes, it's the small, everyday actions that speak volumes – a listening ear, a comforting word, or a helping hand.
I also learnt that friendships don't have to be perfect or drama-free. In fact, it's often the imperfections and challenges that strengthen a friendship and make it more meaningful.
Ultimately, true friendships are built on trust, empathy, and mutual support. They are about being there for each other, through thick and thin, and celebrating each other's successes.
I realized that friendship extends beyond just personal relationships – it's also essential in marriage, academics, and business partnerships. In all these areas, trust, empathy, and mutual support are crucial.
To cultivate meaningful friendships, we must be willing to be the type of friend we want to have. We must show empathy, trust, and support to others, just as we hope they will do for us.
Life is too short to waste time on superficial relationships. Instead, let's focus on nurturing genuine friendships that bring joy, support, and meaning to our lives.
