FAITH AND LOVE. πŸ–€

Bonjour! Welcome to my 12-day blog series, where I will be sharing 24 lessons I've learnt in 2024. I'm excited to dive in and share these insights with you, so do stay through.πŸ‘‹

LESSON FIFTEEN

As I reflect on my experiences in 2024, I'm reminded of a powerful lesson from John 21:15-17. In this passage, Jesus asks Peter three times if he loves Him. On the surface, it may seem like a simple question, but Jesus was driving at a deeper point.

The first two times Jesus asked Peter if he loved Him, Peter responded with a confident "Yes, Lord, I love you." By the third time Jesus asked the same question, Peter was grieved that Jesus would ask him again, implying that he's already answered the question.

But Jesus wasn't just looking for a verbal affirmation of Peter's love. He was looking for evidence of Peter's commitment to follow Him, to obey Him, and to surrender to His will. Jesus wanted Peter to understand that loving Him was not just about feelings or words, but about actions and obedience.

As I reflect on this passage, I'm reminded that loving Jesus is not just about what I say or feel, but about how I live my life. It's about surrendering my will to His, obeying His commands, and seeking to please Him in all I do.

Loving Jesus means more than just attending church or singing hymns. It means living a life that reflects His character, values, and teachings. It means being willing to take up my cross and follow Him, even when it's difficult or uncomfortable.

As we seek to follow Jesus, let's remember that loving Him isn't just about words or feelings, but about actions and obedience. May we surrender our lives to Him, seeking to please Him in all we do.

LESSON SIXTEEN

I have learnt the need to stand confidently in my faith, realizing that I don't have to be swayed by insults or questioning from those with different beliefs. Instead, I've focused on deepening my understanding of my own convictions, which has helped me stand firm and unwavering in my faith.

For me, faith goes beyond spirituality; it encompasses my values, principles, and beliefs. Whether it's my spiritual faith in Jesus Christ or my personal beliefs and principles, I've learnt to stand firm and confident.

By standing firm and being confident, I see that it gives me the power to trust myself, discover more about myself, and understand life and spirituality on a deeper level. Also makes me more open-minded, resilient, and compassionate.

I'm committed to applying this lesson going forward, embracing my faith with courage and conviction.
